Description

What is Subflooring Preparation?

We as Exen Flooring fit carpet and any other all kind of flooring products with our high quality standards. We first check your subfloor to make sure whether it is ready for installation or not. If all is ok, we start the process of fitting from the cleaning surface to make it pure and smooth. If we notice it is not suitable for fitting your product, we share it clearly what it is and what you can have with it. We are happy to help you by preparing your floor for your new product.

Screed Implementation London!

Our concrete subfloor (Screed Implementation) preparation allows the subfloor to dry for 24 hours after implementation. We ensure the surface is pure and smooth to provide you with a comfortable and enjoyable experience with your new vinyl, LVT, safety-flooring, or any other hard floor. Once all preparations have been completed, our professional fitters will install your product with our high quality and guarantee standards, ensuring your satisfaction.

In order to measure your room or floor accurately for new flooring, you will need a few items. These include a tape measure, a pen or pencil, a piece of paper, a ruler, and if possible, a helpful assistant.

Whether you plan to install carpet, vinyl, luxury vinyl, laminate, or safety flooring, the process for measuring a room is the same. Begin by drawing a floor plan of the room you wish to measure, including any doorways, windows, or drop backs, such as fireplaces, alcoves, and fitted cupboards.

Using your tape measure, measure the width of the widest part of the room, then measure across the room at a few different points to account for any unevenness in the walls. Note down these measurements on your plan. Take measurements wall to wall across each room, as some walls may not be parallel. Additionally, measure any drop backs, alcoves, or fireplaces and record these measurements on your plan.

It is important to add an extra 10cm to each measurement to account for any necessary cuts or trimming during the installation process. Be sure to measure all the way into the doorways, as well as the width, and jot down this information on your plan. Note the number of doorways in the room, as this will help us accurately calculate the connecting door bars and thresholds that we'll need.

Remember, measuring accurately is crucial to ensure a perfect fit for your new flooring.

F.A.Q's

How long does the fitting process typically take?

The fitting time can vary depending on the size of the area to be fitted and the type of flooring product. However, we aim to complete the fitting within one day for most projects.

What should I do to prepare the area for fitting?
We recommend that you remove all furniture and objects from the area where the flooring is to be fitted. This will allow our fitters to work more efficiently and ensure that the finished result is of the highest standard.
